As credentialing standards continue to shape professional excellence, high-quality training remains essential. Registered Credential Training Providers (RCTPs) play a central role in this by delivering training programs focused on credentialing requirements and best practices.
RCTPs specialize in areas such as clinical supervision, coaching, telemental health, and career counseling. These programs ensure that participants not only understand current standards but are able to apply them competently in practice.
In December 2025, CCE launched the International RCTP Program. This development followed years of inquiries from international training organizations seeking to offer education aligned with CCE credentials.
“Many of these organizations did not meet the structural requirements of CCE’s international partnership model, which typically involves affiliation with a university or large institution,” says Dr. Winifert Lawson-Graves, Director of Business Development and Marketing at CCE. “In response, CCE created a formalized RCTP pathway to evaluate and approve qualified international providers while preserving the integrity of its credentialing standards.”
The RCTP policy applies equally to both domestic and international applicants. However, at launch, international RCTP approval is limited to training associated with two credentials: the Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) and the Board Certified Coach (BCC). This allows CCE to maintain oversight and consistency as the program expands globally.
Requirements for international RCTP approval are outlined in the International RCTP application and mirror existing policy standards for domestic providers.
The international expansion of the RCTP pathway reflects a continued commitment to professional standards, global collaboration, and expanded access to high-quality preparation in specialized practice areas.
“As credentialing pathways evolve, RCTPs remain a critical bridge between education, competency development, and professional recognition,” concludes Dr. Lawson-Graves.
