Certification Requirements

Listed below are the general requirements for DCC Certification

  1. Hold an earned master’s degree in counseling or a related mental health field (as approved by CCE) from a regionally accredited college or university.

  2. Be licensed to practice counseling or be licensed in a related field (as approved by CCE) in the state or country in which the candidate resides or works AND/OR be certified in good standing as a National Certified Counselor (NCC).

  3. Provide proof of completion of the two-day, 15 hour Distance Credentialed Counselor Training Program offered by ReadyMinds.


CCE Certification Fees

Total Application Fee: $25.00

The application fee is collected with the registration fee for the training with ReadyMinds.

Annual Maintenance Fee: A fee of $35 is billed annually for the DCC credential.
